INVESTMENT OPTIONS :

  1. Business Investment : Minimum of € 60,000🡪 the most popular option.
  2. Property Investment : Min € 250,000.
  3. Financial Investment in the subordinated capital of credit institutions : € 280,000.
  4. Government Bond ( Non Interest Bearing ) : € 250,000.
  • Languages spoken: Latvian, Russian, Bellarusian.
  • Main Applicant’s Minimum Age: 18 years old, with official income.
  • Min stay: 0 days, visit Latvia for biometric and collect the Residence Card. Residence Permit Card.
  • Processing Time: 30 – 90 days.
  • Validity: 5 Years, renewable.
  • WORKING and DOING BUSINESS in Latvia: are allowed.
  • Pathway to Permanent Resident ::
    • After holding a Latvian Residence Permit for 5 years, with a minimum stay of 183 days per year for 5 consecutive years.
    • Basic-level Latvian language proficiency (A2) is required.

Pathway to Citizenship:

After 10 years of legal residence 5 years as Residence permit holder 5 years as a Permanent Resident.
Proviciency in Latvian language ( B1 or higher )

DESCRIPTION OF EACH INVESTMENT OPTION

1. Business Investment

Investment in a Latvian Company:

  • A minimum of €50.000 in a Latvian business with max 50 employees and annual turnover max € 10 millions, or
  • A minimum of €100.000for a company with more than 50 employees passive income over € 10 millions revenue per year..

Government Contribution ( 1 time ): €10.000
Annual Tax €40.000

Financial Stability Proof:

  • Single Main Applicant €15.480 per year 
  • Main Applicant & Spouse €20.640 per years
  • A married couple with one child : €22.188 per years

2. Property Investment:

  • A minimum of €250.000, with Cadastral value € 80,000
  • Cadastral value is the official assessed value of a property determined by a government authority—typically for purposes such as : Property taxation, Land registration, Administrative planning, Legal and inheritance procedures. (It is not the same as market value).
  • Property can be sold after 5 yearsafter the Permanent Resident is granted
  • Property can be bought from individuals or organizations
  • Property Property cannot be purchased from Latvian Citizensonly from EU Citizens non Latvians or Latvian Residence Permit / Permanent Resident holders Latvia

Financial Investment in the subordinated capital of credit institutions:

  • A minimum of €280.000

The state duty of € 25,000 has to be paid after the Residence Permit is approved by the Government.
